SOLD This Colt Was produced in 1919. The pistol's serial number is C119642. It has the standard 5 inch barrel chambered for the 45 A.C.P. cartridge. The bore is in near minty condition. This barrel is one of the original left over military 1918 barrels that have been converted to civilian use. This barrel has the correct civilian finish and polish. The HP is still faintly visable on the top of the barrel. I have seen several of these style barrels through the years. Mostly on 1919 produced Colts. Colts did not let good parts go to waste! A good example of reusing parts was when Colt used left over 1878 double action cylinders in the Single Action model Colts. The slide is tight on the rails with no sloppyness. The slide has the original sights intact. The action works smoothly with no issues. The original wood grips are in very fine condition. These grips have no cracks or chips. The magazine is the correct civilian polish magazine. The original charcoal bluing would rate a 95% or better overall condition. The polish work on this Colt is of high quality whigh gives this finish a deep look. This is a very fine Colt 1911 that was produced right after the end of the Great War. This Colt is a fine example of these quality model 1911's that were produced right after the war of 1914 To 1918. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
