Selling 2 Winchester Model 1894s from my personal collection, both having special order 28" full octagon barrels 2" longer than standard, with full magazine and rifle butt, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, open sights. This one is in the 170,000 serial range and is in caliber 32-40. Has the correct German silver blade front sight with set screw and semi-buckhorn rear sight with patent-marked thumbprint elevator. Forearm shows some wear to the finish but no splits or cracks. Butt stock probably was lightly cleaned and refinished years ago as it has a higher amount of varnish and is slightly shy of the butt plate but still looks great, no splits, no cracks, no extra holes. Action is tight and the half cock safety functions as it should. On a scale of 1 to 10, the bore is a 7 with light wear, a hint of frost, very light black powder fouling, consistent rifling with no pits or craters, no rings or bulges. I have fired this rifle and it feeds, fires and ejects perfectly. The receiver has grayed out. The barrel retains35% original finish that has turned patina, and the mag tube retains 50% original finish that has turned patina. Not many overlength 1894s are out there so don't miss out!
