*** SOLD *** The famed forerunner to the Model 70! Here is an excellent, early example of the scarce Model 54 in all-time favorite 30-06 caliber. There were only 50,000 Model 54 rifles produced in all calibers, with the overwhelming majority having endured the ravages of time and destructive alteration to the point of being uncollectible. To find one in this nice and unaltered condition after nearly 100 years has become quite uncommon. S/N 13*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1927. 95% original finishes throughout. Undrilled rear receiver bridge. Correct 6W two folding leaf rear sight. 24" Barrel. Perfect bore and mechanics.
It's VERY difficult to find a 54 in this shape. Expedited shipping from Alaska is $75 with secure packing and full insurance.
