Description:
Herter's BSA Model U9 in .338 Winchester Magnum. The left side of the receiver is marked with a crowned "BNP" proof. The right side of the chamber ring is marked "Made in England". The right side of the barrel is marked "338". This rifle has a grooved receiver with flat serrated tops at the chamber ring and back of the receiver for mounting scope rings. The rear receiver flat also has a hole in it for accepting a stud on rear ring. The stock is a walnut with a Monte Carlo comb, raised rolled-over cheekpiece and a pistol grip.
