Description:
L. Santina Bernardelli, Gardone V.T. Italy, 20 gauge exposed hammer shotgun manufactured in 1960 with 28" nitro steel F/ XF extractor barrels with a raised solid file cut rib with a brass front bead. Chambers are 2 3/4" Bores are excellent measuring .627 on the right and left. Choked .035 on the right and .042 on the left. Barrel blue remains at 94% with a few areas of thinning. The reciever features side clips, double underlugs, a hidden third fastener and a rib extension Greener crossbolt. Thus, four barrel locking systems. It is tight and on face and should stay that way. Hammers are rebounding. The reciever retains 60-70% original case colors with 50% coverage of scroll and gamebird engraving. Straight grip buttstock and splinter forend of straight grain European Walnut are solid and without repairs. Sling attachments on buttstock and barrels. This gun weighs 6lb 10oz. LOP is 14 1/4" to a factory composition buttplate. DAC -1 1/4" DAH -1 1/2" Cast Off -3/8"
L. Santina Bernardelli is the best of the various Bernardelli gunmakers. This is a "Modern Vintager" in very nice condition and built to have many years of service remaining.
