Hammerguns - Long barreled and extremely elegant this stunning 16g. is a joy to behold. The gun has English nitro proofs and mirror bores with tons of wall thickness. We could easily arrange to have choke back bored into the bores with these kind of wall thickness\'s, although if your in like mind with me, choke is highly unnecessary.
What really strikes me about this 16g besides the obvious high quality is the stunning Damascus pattern. I believe this pattern is the one developed by famous French Damascus barrel maker Leopold Bernard. Leopold Bernard (1832-1867) and Rene Leclerc were barrel makers in Paris and responsible for many of the patterns seen on barrels like on this gun, produced in France, Liege, and Ferlach. Bernard was the only barrel maker that was not required to proof his barrels in the French proof house as the government had so much respect for his work.
Note that this is a push forward underlever. See where the metal of guard is so elegantly checkered? That is where one just pushes forward with their thumb and the barrels fall open.
