Description:
VERY EARLY, FIRST FULL YEAR PRODUCTION AGENT 2" SNUB-NOSE REVOLVER, .38 SPECIAL #47XXXLW, WITH WOOD GRAIN BOX, MADE 1956. The Agent was nearly identical to the popular alloy framed Cobra except the Agent model had a smaller grip frame for better concealment. They were made from 1955-1979 and are one of the less common of Colts small frame revolvers. This one has the wood grain box with end label and serial number on the bottom. Excellent overall with some minor freckling/dulling of the blue on part of the cylinder side probably from resting in the box in a drawer where it rubbed., and some slight edge wear. Walnut grips are excellent. It would be hard to find an earlier example.
