Payment Types Accepted: Check, Money Order Description: Sold Rare 1886 Winchester Rifle in 50-100-450 caliber. All dimensions, sights, and caliber are confirmed by a Cody Museum Research letter. According to the research done by John T. Madl there were between 232-307 1886 rifles manufactured in the 50-100-450 caliber. This rifle has a 26" round barrel and full magazine tube, which both retain 80 to 85% of their original finish. All three sights are mentioned in the Cody letter. Very nice markings and I will rate the bore a 8.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. The receiver retains 80% of it's original case colors on the left side and 35% of it's original case colors on the right side. Still has case colors showing on forend cap, hammer, lever, and lower tang. Breech bolt has the majority of it's original blue remaining. The shotgun buttplate retains 70% of its original blue. The forend and buttstock are in nice condition showing the normal handling marks. There are some dings in the right side of forend and a small chip at the toe of the buttstock (see pics).
