This is a gun that was built for John Dickson and Sons, Edinburgh, Scottland in 2007 by Caesar Guerini. It was an upgraded Tempio with fancier Turkish walnut, a gold pheasant on the left side of the action and a gold duck inlayed on the right. I recently had Caesar Guerini USA replace the forend wood, since I had cracked the original. The wood grain matches perfectly. While at the CG shop, I had them perform the annual service, which included replacing the hammer struts, and polishing the the muzzle, ejectors, and breech face. They cleaned the bores and adjusted the ejector synchronization. This gun is nearly as good as new. It does show some wear to the action, with bluing rubbed off behind the trigger guard, where my fingers lay. The stock shows some well-earned nicks and small dents, but is still very nice. It has 3" chambers, although I have only shot 2-3/4" shells in it. It has a hold open top lever, which is still far to the right, and has well-timed ejector,s thanks to CG. Over-all, it is in very good shape, and will provide many more years or decades of service. I have three choke tubes for it: cylinder, Improved cylinder, and modified.
