Description:
This beautiful one in a million Winchester Model 70 can be yours! The receiver is dated 1954 however, the barrel and stock are the pre-WWII style. This is not too uncommon for gun manufacturers of this period to take remaining stock and turn them into civilian rifles. The previous owner's father bought this rifle out west on a big game hunt with friends he made during the war. The rifle was purchased in its current state with the Pachmayr butt pad installed from a small gun store out west. After that hunt, the gentleman passed it onto his son who only shot it 20 times after that. It was his hope and mine that this wonderful rifle finds itself a new owner who will care for it as they did. The gun is in excellent shape with some very minor scratches on the underside of the wrist and the left side of the receiver and a dent or two under the forearm and on the stock. Whether it is taken back out big game hunting or added to a Winchester collection, this wonderful rifle will preform! .300 H&H Magnum
