Description:
This is a very rare three digit serial number 347 Springfield Armory Inc. M1 Garand. This particular rifle was assembled by Springfield Armory Inc in April 1979 (see letter of authenticity) using their receiver and USGI parts. This rifle is one of the very few in existence with a 3 digit serial number, the serial number sequence started at 101 and ended with 500, but the majority never left the factory. The rifle came from a collection of a prominent M1 garand collector and military gun author. Rifle appears unfired and in excellent condition. Barrel SA 4-47 appears to be measuring 0/0 using my guage with grease still in the chamber, bolt SA D28287-12 S-040, lock bar rear sight, WW2 trigger guard, Wood in beautiful condition no cartouches. I have owned this Garand for 3 1/2 years and it sits in my glassed gun cabinet on display, I have never fired it, taken it apart or taken it out of the stock. It has been referenced and pictured in a book. Additional documentation upon request. Will be shipped in a CMP case inside a cardboard box to ensure it arrives in excellent condition.
