Formidable Single Shot Self-Defense Pistol
Here we present an antique Deringer-Type British Pocket Pistol by Parker, made circa the mid-1800s in London, England. This pistol features a large .44 caliber “manstopping” bore that would have been worn on the belt or holstered.
The overall condition is good. The action is not fully functional—the hammer must be assisted forward in order to hold back the hammer and feels gritty. Good, clear bore (aged). Sturdy grip/stock with an average amount of wear (dents and dings, chipping around the lock). “540” is stamped above the lock. “PARKER” marked lock.
