Description:
General Specs: Browning, Year 1973, 12 Gauge, 7lb 2oz, Chokes .010/ .014 IC/M, LOP 14 1/4", DAH 2 9/16", DAC 1 5/8"
Serial Number: 13211A37

Often compared with the earlier Winchester Model 21, the Browning BSS is similarly known for being a reliable and robust side-by-side. The BSS was first manufactured and offered for sale in 1971, production was by the famed Miroku company of Japan and is built to exacting standards.

This example has most likely never been fired; its removable striker disks are unmarred by brass and the mechanicals of this gun appear unused. Externally, the gun's metal is in 100% factory original condition and the wood is in exceptional state exhibiting nicely figured fiddleback and faultless checkering. The engraving on the action is clear and sharp and both the hinge and action are factory tight with the lever sitting way right of center. Measuring IC/M the bores are mirror, the barrel is 26" making this side by side a handy gun for bird hunting and clay smashing.

For that extra cache and to present your BSS at its best, Vintage Firearms has a correct period Browning case available for an additional $275.

Overall a stylish shotgun in top condition, steadily increasing in popularity and value, it won't be in our gunroom for long, act fast or it will be gone!
