Description:
This is an antique brass roll over reloading tool for 12 Gauge Paper Shotgun shells. It is a table or bench mounted, two station, heavy brass and hardwood early loading press with a loading station and crimping station marked “12" on the crimping tool handle and “11" on the on the main body of each piece of the tool. There are no manufacture marks on this well made, rugged tool that is likely of English origin. The arms swing freely, the screws turn easily and the spring loaded plunger is very smooth. The roll crimper makes a nice, even round crimp. It is in excellent condition with a pleasing patina and functional showing light use marks on on the handles. It will make an attractive and functional display item perfect for the vintage gun room with many years of service for vintage loads.
