Description:
Serial #104, 8mm CF primer blank and 22mm rocket, 9' barrel with a fine, lightly freckled bore. The threaded steel rocket tube has an overall plum-brown patina with numerous small surface scratches along its length, but no pitting, nor any dents. The aluminum frame is bright, but does have areas of minor surface oxidation, primarily on the cylindrical portion, and all markings are crisp and clear, including the Kriegsmarine "M (eagle) 11/C" acceptance proof on the left side. The wooden grip panels are original and have numerous minor handling marks and small blemishes marring the original finish, and the removable vertical foregrip is no longer present. The action is fully functional. These line projectors were primarily used by the Kriegsmarine, mainly by U-Boats due to their compact size, and also by Army Alpine Troops (Gebirgstruppen). They fired their projectiles out to a range of about 200 meters. This example is in fine condition, and is a rare example of a desirable piece of German naval equipment.
