Description:
German World War II G43 Assault Rifle manufactured by Walther in 1944. This is a very nice example of a correct mid-production G43 rifle. Rifle is in excellent condition and is all matching, includes correct G43 site hood, cleaning rod and sling that is maker marked on the inside. I have disassembled the bolt assembly and all internals are numbered and proofed to the rifle. Stock has not been sanded and has an extremely sharp single cheek proof and is numbered and proofed on the keel as pictured. There are no cracks in the stock (something that occurs often with these). Includes correct AYE marked K43 magazine. These rifles have an interesting history as a last attempt by the Germans to field a semi-auto rifle for troops that could compete with the US Garand and Soviet SVT-40. This example is from mid-production and still has several early features including the stepped front site and push button hold-open on the bolt. Would be a difficult rifle to upgrade, completely correct, completely matching, a no excuses gun with hood, sling and rod. An excellent addition to any WW2 or German military collection.
