Sig semi-automatic pistols have several built-in safety features, including a hammer block and firing pin block that make them suitable for safe carry. The P226 Nitron is constructed with a black, hard-coat anodized aluminum frame, and a Nitron coated stainless steel slide. The frame features an integral 3-lug Picatinny rail for attaching aftermarket sights and lights. The 1-piece, stippled grip unit and front strap serrations enhance control during rapid fire. SIGLITE® night sights provide rapid sight acquisition in any light, including total darkness. The Sig Sauer P226 Nitron Semi-Auto Pistol fieldstrips easily without the use of tools for cleaning and maintenance.
