LATE 19TH CENTURY BIRMINGHAM 12GA HAMMER SHOTGUN BY C.J. GREGORY. Probably made for the American market. 30" barrels engraved "C.J. Gregory, London Laminated Steel" on top rib. Barrels with NO dings or dents except later owner's SSN electropenciled into nickelplated barrels so barely visible. Engraved receiver with nickelplating and triggerguard. Left hammer a good replacement. A little off face but locks up nicely so candidate for wall hanging or display only but eye catching because the original UN-refinished buttstock and forend are nice and solid with original finish, escutcheon plate and original gutta percha buttplate. Original Amercian walnut has some tiger stripe to it as well.
