Description: Sale Pending !! This Springfield Garand M-1 Cal 30.06 was mfg abt 1943 and has all of the correct original type component parts. It is an exquisite example of a "Legend" - and as Gen Patton said " It did more to win the War than any other weapon". This particular Garand came from the estate of an ardant collector and shows very excellent care and diligence to same. ( THE PICTURED SLING, OILER KIT & TOOL ARE FOR PRESENTATION ONLY AND NOT INCLUDED) The guns bluing is a matching medium gray parkerizing throughout all parts. The buttstock is a mediun Dark Walnut w/o any dents, scratches or cracks. It has the correct cartouches marked in a square frame w/the initials of the Springfield Armorey's then CO - "SA/E.McF. (Col. Edward McFarland). Adjacent to the cartouche is the correct ordnance stamp. The upper & lower handguard are perfectly matching w/the buttstrock and are also excellent. The action is normal and cycles perfectly, The bore measures "2+" & the throat "3" , The bores has very distinct rifling and is shiney.
