Description:
Smith & Wesson Pre Model 27 revolver in .357 Magnum. 6.5" pinned barrel with checkered top rib. Square butt N target frame with 5 screws. Micrometer click rear sight with checkered top strap. Front sight has a little ding in the right hand side. Case colored hammer and trigger with strong colors remaining. SN is S157360 likely 1956 date of manufacture. Frame is not marked with a model number.
This gun is a great shooting piece with some fun pre-model history. Overall very good condition with some light marks to the blue, looks like mostly holster wear. Typical drag ring and light marks to the cylinder. Good overall grips with a few nicks. See pics for all details. Cylinder lock up is great with solid timing. Bore is shiny with strong rifling and slight discoloration in some of the grooves that might clean up even better. Gun has been lightly cleaned and function checked.
