The Whitney Phoenix is a very scarce rifle, and this one is in excellent used condition. The bore is great and shoots well. This is a single shot, pivot locking rifle chambered in 44-40 (44WCF) The original rear sight is complete which is even more rare. There is still evidence of the original color/case on the receiver and forearm cap. This rifle still functions as designed and is quite accurate.
