This pistol is a variant of the Model 1910 and is known as the Model 1922 or 1910/22 with a production run beginning with the Model 1910 in 1910 and continuing with the Model 1922 until 1983. This FN Model 1922 semi-automatic pistol was designed by John Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium. As did this pistol, Model 1910/1922 pistols went on to see extensive service in World War II and continued to be manufactured by the Germans after their occupation of Belgium and seizure of the FN factory. This example has production stamps, and like most has simple checkered wood grips instead of the earlier horn or plastic grips bearing the FN logo. While the Model 1910 was widely sold on both civilian and military markets, the Model 1922 was considered specifically a military and police pistol, with FN offering it to individual civilians only by special order. Compared to the Model 1910, it was a larger model with a longer barrel, slide extension, and a longer grip frame to accommodate an extra two rounds. The over condition is good. Finished in nickel at some point. Strong action. Bright bore with good rifling. Both grips show average wear from use. The markings are sharp. This example is German eagle marked. Numbers match. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4-1/2 inches. Caliber: 7.65x17mm Browning (.32 ACP) Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
