This is probably one of the best conditioned Japanese T-26 revolvers out there. A prewar mid-production example that still retains its original high polished blue with fireblued small parts and had not been reworked at the factory.
The blueing is just spectacular and is reminiscent of the blueing used on the early S&W revolvers with about 95-97% still remaining, with majority of wear being tiny scratches in the finish on the barrel and a few areas of patination and wear on the frame and the cylinder. It is an all matching gun. Perfect bore and grips. The fire blue on the trigger and hammer is bright and lustrous - a testament to this gun probably never been used outside of its holster. Sharp markings throughout. The holster is near mint with no defects and has Arsenal and date markings under the flap.
A type 26 revolver in original High condition is one of the toughest military guns to locate as they were used heavily over the span of 40 plus years.
