Description:
This is a completely original carbine manufacture in 1997, during the so-called "Assault Weapons Ban" of 1994-2004. It was manufactured for the civilian market and lacks certain features that determined what an "assault weapon" was supposed to look like, at least according to the politicians of the time. There is no bayonet lug nor is there a flash hider; the "evil" protruding pistol grip was replaced by a fixed rifle stock; and a sear block was added to the lower receiver, ostensibly to make it more difficult to convert a semi automatic rifle into a fully automatic one. Guess the pols in power never heard of a dremel tool before. Anyway, the carbine is in pristine original condition and carries a barrel marked "C MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 HBAR," otherwise known as a 1 - 9 twist heavy barrel, made for target shooting. It comes with an original Colt magazine, but not the original 10-round magazine it was sold to the public with, yet another sop to the politicians. I am calling this item used, primarily because of its age, but not its condition, which is excellent, in my opinion. Please refer to the photos for condition. Buyer to pay actual cost of shipping.
