WW2 WWII PRE D-DAY 1944 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND RIFLE RECEIVER WITH '65 BARREL. Serial number "2,7878XX". Receiver is arsenal reparkerized when "4-65" barrel was placed on it by the US government for re-issue. See photos for correct receiver leg stampings, etc. As is with no bolt or rear sight peep(although has adjustment knobs). Packing grease in recesses I've left as been that way for 25 years that I know of(old collection). Fair bore and rifling on barrel stamped "SA 6535448 4 65 y 8 7" and after that star in box proof. NO pitting or salt and pepper with extra crisp grooves and threads fo easy transition to becoming a whole rifle with very little plug and play left since barrel already put on by Government(just need parts).
