Description:
Ernst Steigleder pre-war 8x60mmS sporting rifle. Chamber cast showed a bore dia of .314", and groove of .323". The 22" barrel is octagon to round with a full length integral rib. Action has German claw mounts, double set triggers. Note the engraving on the action and bottom metal/floor plate. There are many small touches that really set things off; notably the front ring being narrowed slightly to provide a slimmer stock, and the shaping on the trigger bow area.
This is a delightful classic stalking rifle; light, well balanced, great handling, and petite in the hands!
Comes with Hornady dies, approx 180 8x600mmS cases, and many 170 and 195gr Hornady .323" bullets.
