Volquartsen spent a lot of effort in developing this rifle to function reliably with the .17 WSM round but, in the end, they decided to discontinue this model. It is still a fine rifle and beautifully made, it may function quite well with the right lot of ammunition. The problem with the .17 WSM is, it has a rim dimension variance that from one lot to the next can cause issues. .17 WSM
