Description:
This gun was made to honor "Skeeter" Skelton for all of his contributions to the gun industry.He wrote his first article for Shooting Times in 1966 and in 1967 became the editor for the magazine until his death in 1988.
Some of his periodical articles were collected in Good Friends, Good Guns,Good Whiskey a collection of writings by Skeeter Skelton. This is a Colt Single action Army Revolver, serial number SA53971, Caliber;.44/40 Colt only made 50 of these guns and this is the only one kept by the archive.
