12 GA Olympic Trap, Serial number 118741, Total production of the Olympic Trap was 596 between 1927 and 1950, 32" Full choke, LOP is 14.5 inches. Wood finish is very good to excellent, the case colors on the receiver are 98% or better, the only thing not original is the red recoil pad. The original was flattened from storage, bore is shiny, with on pits or rust, metal finish is original, fuctioning is perfect.
The L.C. Smith Single Barrel Trap (SBT) is considered one of America's best made guns, and awards for both the guns and shooters are legendary, including Olympic medals and world titles. Collector interest can be high, and an expert appraisal is recommended on guns in 80%+ condition. Single barrel trap models were made in 12 ga. only, ventilated rib barrel, boxlock, auto ejector, checkered pistol grip stock, recoil pad, and beavertail forend. A total of 2,281 were mfg. between 1917 and 1951.
