This WWII 45ACP Model 1911 rebuild consists of a circa 1917 Colt Model 1911 frame with a M1911 A1 mainspring housing and a WWII Colt M1911 A1 slide. The circa 1945 or later Colt replacement barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifliing. The gun has an overall parkerized arsenal refinish. The frame has an original 1911 trigger and hammer and is correctly (but lightly due to the prakerizing) marked for the era. The WWII replacement brown plastic checkered grips are excellent. The gun is equipped with a WWI/WWII R marked (Risdon Tool and Machine Co., Naugatuck, CT) magazine. The axtion functions correctly. This Colt U.S. Model 1911 WWII rebuild is ready for your WWII, Korean War, or Vietnam War collection.
