Description:
1965 Browning Superposed 20-gauge in superb condition. By the same gunsmith that the Browning Collectors' Association chose to restore a limited edition of Browning Trombone rimfilres with Angelo Bee engraving, this gun was just reblued, wood refinished and action rebuilt and it is beautiful. Being a ’65, it has the beautiful round knob and long trigger tang, unlike so many Superposed guns for sale. 28" barrels, chokes are skeet/skeet. Note: the gun is missing one screw at the far end of the trigger tange, which is getting replaced as the fit was not perfect.
Production of the Superposed began in 1931 and ended in 1986, available afterwards only via the custom shop at Browning. At age 65, John Browning "His greatest satisfaction was found conceiving a new shotgun. It wasn't a tool, like his pump-action guns or the A5 autoloader, but an instrument for an expert, in design and function an expression of art produced in steel and wood."
