J.C. Higgins Model 28 - Semi - Auto .22 LR Rifle - Smooth 2 piece walnut pistol grip style stock and forend. 24 in . long barrel and 41.75 in . overall length. 15 LR capacity tubular magazine . Bore is clean and bright. Open rear adj. sight and a ramped front blade sight. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 90% bluing. Includes a period correct Weaver B-6 w/ rings in very good condition with clear lens. Butt plate in very good condition. Overall condition is excellent with very few minor handling marks for a rifle of this age. Includes soft sleeve. Very stylish rifles both then and now. Manufactured by High - Standard from 1951 - 1952. Scarce due to it's limited production.
