THOMPSON-CENTER SCARCE "1970-1995 TC 25TH ANNIVERSARY" .50 CALIBER FLINTLOCK HAWKEN RIFLE. Until seeing this one, I was unaware a commemorative Hawken had been made. So, it is obvious that this one was made in 1995. The marking is on the right side of the barrel. Flintlock Hawken rifles are much more scarce than the percussion models. This one shows little use and is in near new condition. Loaded with round ball or Maxie bullet, these can be loaded up to the equivalent of the powerful old black powder buffalo caliber cartridges. Adjustable double set triggers function properly and retains the original adjustable rear sight. Front sight has had a little red nail polish put on the front portion of the blade for better visibility- easily removed or just left alone. Hard to find in flint and interesting anniversary barrel marking!
