Description:
This is an exceptional revolver with very scarce provenance. The revolver was owned by Ted Williams and he had Bob James make these custom "Bone" grips and an action job. Bob James is known for his superb Single Action tuning. This gun is as smoth and sweet as a swiss watch.It locks up in perfect time and has no ring on the cylinder. Overall the revolver is in excellent condition being made in 1973. I have the original receipt with the gun with the work and having it done in 1999. As the receipt states "Bone" referring to antler, not actual bone. If you could get this work done by Bob James today, it would cost over $1,000.00
A good second generation colt would be worth almost this much without the action job or grips...$2999.00
