Description:
Early 1877 Colt Lightning Etched Panel Double Action Revolver, made in 1878 in Hartford, Connecticut. Serial number 4774 and is matching. 38 caliber with hard rubber grips, matching serial number on the grips as well. 3 1/2" barrel and no ejector rod. Etched Panel is still visible (see pics). Functions in both single and double action. Nice fire blue on back of hammer and trigger (see pics). Barrel retains 80 to 85% of its original finish. Good bore. Frame retains 60 to 65% of their original finish. Cylinder retains 50% original nickel. Just a nice original early etched panel Colt Lightning offered at a reasonable price. Please know your state laws, this is an antique but only in the states that recognize the antique laws. For example NY isn't one of them. Please feel free to ask questions.
