A DELUXE CASED, ENGRAVED AND GOLD-INLAID TEXAS RANGER COMMEMORATIVE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER
CHARLES SCHREINER, III'S PERSONAL GUN
Serial no. 88TR, .45 caliber, circa 1963. 7 1/2 inch barrel with gold and fire-blued bands at breech and muzzle and extensive scroll-engraved coverage; signed by the engraved WEL, Weldon E. Lister. Silver-plated finish. Cylinder with scroll-engraved panels, the rear with gold and fire-blued bands. Scroll-engraved frame. Fire-blued cylinder pin, trigger and screws. Hammer inlaid on both sides with an engraved gold eagle's head. Backstrap engraved with scrollwork, borders and inscribed Texas Rangers; apron inlaid with a silver Texas star within an oak wreath. Original elephant ivory grips, left side relief-carved with an eagle perched on a Federal shield above a scroll inscribed Texas/Liberty Complete with two-drawer figured walnut display case, the red velour-lined top draw with fitted compartment for revolver and Texas Ranger badge in lucite. Bottom draw contains cowhide bound copy of A Pictorial History of the Texas Rangers by Charles Schreinger III, et al, YO Press, 1969, the cover with YO brand. Autographed by nearly 200 Texas Rangers.
