Description:
Original Remington UMC salesman travel case with restoration. New stitching using original holes, new front end cap, new hinge on end cover, new carrying handle, missing shoulder strap replaced with one for that time period. Included is a Remington Model 12A 22-inch round barrel chambered for .22 short only (very rare). With the exception of new forearm screws firearm is in original condition. Matching serial number 654223 on the receiver and inside on the guard would indicate firearm was manufactured in 1925 per Remington Records. Stock and forearm are in excellent condition with light handing marks form normal use, no cracks. Bore is bright and shiny with no pitting or corrosion. Very little rifling remaining. Test fired and functioned as it should. Smooth action and takedown tight. Firearm has certainly been used but well taken care of by previous owner/ owners and is good condition for being 97 years old. Postal Money Order / Certified Check only.
