Ornate SPANISH Antique FLINTLOCK Pistol .65 Caliber Single Shot Sidearm

Here we present an antique Spanish Flintlock Pistol, made circa the late-18th Century. This large bore pistol would have been intended for use as a martial sidearm. Its barrel is a very long 14 inches in length. This pistol has a .65 caliber bore and would have been most at home tucked into a belt or holster when not punching large holes. One can easily imagine this in the hands of a military officer or perhaps even a Spanish pirate.
This one has been well-used and remain in good condition. The pommel is capped in the European style and would have made a good bludgeon once the single shot was fired. The pommel cap and trigger guard are decorated with small primitive figures. The stock has been carved and checkered. Spanish maker markings can be observed on the top of the barrel.
The overall condition is good. Strong and tight action. Smooth, patinaed bore. Solid stock with an old chip on the right forend.
