This I.B.M. carbine was produced in November 1943. The carbine's serial number is 3764396. This gun has the stamped front sight and trigger housing. It is a oval cut high wood stock. The stock and hand guard have the correct stamps for I.B.M. There is on the stock, a hand etched initials of the service member who used this carbine,EC Earl Christian. Other than that, it is in near unissued condition. All the parts are correct for this serial number range and time frame. The military finish is intact on all the parts. The sling and oiler are correct World War 2 issue. This gun has never been restored or been through a rebuild program. This carbine is in as issued condition! I.B.M. produced 5.7% of all the carbines produced during World War 2. Third rarest of the manufacturers. Original I.B.M. carbines are fairly rare to find today. To find one in this near unissued condition is a real find!
