The BSA International MKIV was designed specifically for shooters who demand the utmost accuracy from their 22LR cartridge. This Birmingham Small Arms rifle is the MK IV- I.S.U., which means the rifle was designed to meet the International Shooting Union requirements for Standard rifle matches.
This fine example has the straight walled barrel which saves about two pounds over the heavier tapered barrel and contrasts nicely with the French Walnut furniture and blued action. The receiver comes with a micro adjustable Redfield Olympic Peep sight installed on the receiver and the barrel carries integral dovetail mounts for a scope. The action is removable to permit cleaning and the trigger is adjustable for weight of pull and overtravel (set for 2.75lb); the trigger has no take-up and no over travel, an exceptional feature. The Martini action guarantees a positive case extraction no matter how slowly the lever is operated and an ergonomically sculptured stock helps maintain consistent head and hand interface and therefore repeatable shot placement.
