Description: The Rafael Revolver is one of the most rare of the imported Civil War revolvers because of the low numbers brought in. The ones associated with the government purchases appear to be in the high 100's serial numbers which this one is. The serial number appears on the upper left side of the frame. Though it is referred to as the Raphael Revolver, Raphael in fact was the dealer who sold the guns to the U.S.. This revolver is in good condition. All parts appear original except for the screw out ejector rod which is an incorrect replacement. The mechanics work well and everything functions as it should except the double action works 50% of the time. Single action works fine. When operating in double action, the cylinder rotates when the trigger is squeezed but the hammer only falls every other squeeze. The metal finish has a grayish patina with some freckling along with some scattered subdued bluing. The bore displays very strong rifling. The grips are very good with only minor handling dings. Overall it is an affordable example of one of the most rare and expensive of all Civil War Revolvers. Paypal is a payment option but only if the funds are sent using the "From friends and family" option. Buyers pays actual shipping via fully insured Priority mail.I will consider serious offers.
