The official title of this sale is a Smith and Wesson Model 14-4. K 38, Target Masterpiece, .38 S&W Special CTG. It has a serial number of 76K8561, The best I could verify was it was manufactured prior to 1982. It has also never been fired. It is virginal so to speak,
I found this at and estate sale and purchased it because it looked good. When I got home, as I looked at it more closely it appeared never to have been fired. There was a slight drag line on the cylinder which was apparently from some dry fireing. The rest of the revolver was unmarked by any type of shooting residue in the cylinders, the underside of the extractor, and especially the barrel where it meets inside the frame to face the cylinder. Not a mark of any resudue. All the paint was still in place wiht no burn marks or carbon deposits. I am no expert but I have been around guns all my life and to me, this revolver is saying it has never had a round shot through it.
I know it is difficult looking at pictures but the only thing I can say is I don't lie and i have a good reputation when I sell firearms.
The pictures shown here were given to me before the gun had the dust removed.
The revolver comes in an old soft case with the S&W oiled paper.
Sorry, there was no Smith and Wesson box, papers, locks, etc.
