Description: General Specs: Perazzi, Year 2006, 12 Gauge, 8lb 5oz, Chokes .017/ .023 LM/IM, LOP 14 3/4", DAH 2 3/16", DAC 1 3/8" Serial Number: 137167 Perazzi guns have won more world championships, Olympic Games, and international competitions than all the other makers combined. They are known for uncompromising quality, innovation, and guns that fire tens of thousands of rounds without a hick-up. How else do you compete in the Olympics and win medals every 4 years or so? The Perazzi MX2000 shown here, sn137167 built in 2006, is in 99% condition and shows little sign of use. DO NOT CONFUSE THIS GUN WITH THE M2000S, A LESS EXPENSIVE MODEL, AS THIS PERAZZI COMES WITH THE DROP-OUT TRIGGER GROUP UTILIZING LEAF SPRINGS AND INCLUDES A SPARE SET OF SPRINGS AND FIRING PINS. Some refer to this set up as the MX2000/8, as the MX8 has the drop-out trigger group as standard. The 31 ½” LM/IM fixed choke barrels are still tight on the trunnions and the standing breech with the top lever way to the right of center…the gun is like new with only very light edge wear on the action and rib. The over-bored barrels have excellent bores, the barrel blue fully 99%, the action retains 99% plus blue, the engraving is sharp as new, and the wood has only a few tiny handling marks on the right side of the nicely figured buttstock. The Game style forend is without a mark and the checkering on both pieces of wood is flawless. This gun is marked in gold as #2 gun of at least a two-gun set. The fixed chokes on these barrels have been “Eysterized” by Jimmy Eyster of Heritage Gunsmithing of Ohio. Choke work made famous by Jimmy’s father Ken Eyster, the world of clay target sports recognizes the name Eyster for the finest in custom choke work. We are not talking about machinists cutting metal to specifications. Jim Eyster works on chokes as an art, each set of barrels being shot to examine patterns and altered to suit the clays game the owner of the gun specifies. Jim Eyster does his work, shoots the gun many, many times during the process, and continues to make adjustments until the mutual goals are met. This work is done with great pride and tradition and is a level of service rarely found in today’s world. Producing the best patterns for your game is essential to perform to your highest level, and this gun will do that for you. It comes in a Perazzi hard case that is also in excellent condition. We have priced this as new Perazzi under market value for quick sale, so please don’t hesitate or she’ll be gone. Thanks for looking!
