Payment Types Accepted: USPS money order preferred, or check Description: SALE PENDING In 1868, using Remington-made,1866, rolling block actions, Springfield Armory converted 500 Civil War rifle-muskets. Brazed-in .50 caliber liners and chambered in .50-70 Govt. This is one (#20) of those "transformed" conversions. The only parts that I know are original are the barrel, forend wood, and upper part of the receiver. Other parts are replacements. Trigger group is a later replacement and functions fine. Rear sight is original, front sight looks shopmade. Bore is frosted a few inches in front of the chamber, but shiny the rest of the way with strong rifling. Trigger pull is robust, fires fine, and is suprisingly accurate. I have a few (14) empty casings and 3 pc RCBS loading die set w/shell holder, for an additional $100.00 if you want. Also 3 dummy rounds (damaged casings) for display. Antique, so only proof of age req. $75.00 shipped to your door.
