ORIGINAL Civil War Colt Model 1860 Army Single Action Percussion Revolver, with Holster and Waist Belt, #105421, .44 cal., 8" streamlined round barrel marked with maker's name and "U.S. America" 1-line address, has patented creeping loading lever; rebated 6-shot round cylinder with the 1843 naval battle scene; open-top frame marked "Colts/Patent" at left, brass trigger guard, iron backstrap, 1-pc. oil-finished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1863. Condition is very good , very attractive age-toned brass; edges and markings are very good with traces of rolled cylinder scene remaining. Grips are smooth showing remnant military inspectors' marks at both sides. Visible serial numbers match (wedge is a correct Colt part, Action is crisp, bore shows moderate black-powder very good rifling. Black leather holster has mostly intact stitching and straps, brass finial, flap with 2" tear, matching belt with attachments has lost most of its leather finish, brass eagle/wreath belt plate. Civil War Artifacts of this type are becoming very difficult to find especially at a somewhat affordable price and almost never in this condition.
