Description:
Smith & Wesson 38/44 Pre-War -- .38 special caliber, 5" barrel length, S/N 65819. Left side of the barrel marked "Smith & Wesson." Right side of the frame marked with Smith & Wesson logo. Right side of the barrel marked with caliber. Six-shot fluted cylinder. This S&W is an very good example of the Pre-War 38/44. It shows a turn mark on the cylinder. Features hand carved elk horn with bark grips, with S&W medallions. This is a very strong gun overall.
The re-blue finish is 90% with little visible wear. Bore is bright and shinny and this eye catching S&W is mechanically perfect.
