It is one of the finest examples I have personally come across in recent years. The wood stock is in exceptional condition with minor usage scuff marks and the barrel has been cleaned, but not scrubbed. It has only minor small pitting in areas with the proof marks deep and easily deciferable. The flintlock lock has 1810 on the left side of the face with the Regal Lion emblem to the right of the cock. This musket also has the crown cipher with the numberal 3 below it on the far right edge of the lock denoting military service, most likely during the Waterloo period. This EIC Brown Bess would be an incredible addition to any collection at a reasonable price. 574-242-1936 SOLD Manufacturer: East India Company Model: Brown Bess |
