Payment Types Accepted: Description: On Hold Sale Pending 1809 Potsdam musket dated 1822 in approximately 70 caliber probably converted around 1840. Thousands were imported during the civil war by both the north and South. This one came out of Tennessee and was shortened to a 29.5 inch barrel 44 inches,overal for use I was told by Cavalry. The Lock is marked Potsdam GL the but plate has 1822 as well as unit markings, most parts are marked probably serial numbers. The 2 band stock is in good condition. The lock and barrel are a smooth blue brown color all other parts are brass. Overall a very good civil war import musket. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
