SOLD Listing a high condition early Savage 1899 model A, called a Short rifle some cataloged as a Saddle Rifle with a 22" round barrel. s.n. 66.394 dates Mfg to 1906, she hold's original blue and the wood I believe is original as well, if you disagree so be it. I've never touched it and had it a good number of years. Took wood off and serial number is on all pieces including butt plate, which is a flat metal with the logo in center. I just loaded it up and shot it out back, counter works , nice 6" group off hand at 60 yd's. These Winchester calibers are hard to come by especially in this condition. I don't see why this little rifle wouldn't letter if that would be your thoughts. She Sports a Marble Peep sight as well as the rear sight she came with. Has a blade type front.
