**SOLD** J. Stevens Arms Co. Model 44 Ideal Model chambered in .22 long rifle. These neat little .22 single shot rifles were produced from 1894-1932, and featured the #44 action, 24" barrel, and barrel sights. This rifle remains in good mechanical condition with an action that locks up tight and a solid stock set. The bore has strong rifling, but shows corrosion typical of a gun it's age with one bad spot in about the middle of the rifling. This is a solid old rifle that would make a good project gun to restore or as a base action for a custom .22 single shot build.
